What makes this school so special is how naturally children grow in confidence, creativity, and kindness while they are here. My two sons, past and present students, have both blossomed in ways I didn’t expect. The teachers truly see the children – they know how to connect, guide, and encourage them individually and as part of a group.

It’s not just about learning Spanish (though that’s a huge gift). Kids are introduced to music, art, cooking, science, nature, responsibility, teamwork, and so many real-life skills that go far beyond what you would imagine from a preschool. The environment feels warm and close-knit, like an extended family.

If you’re looking for a place that sets children up for both academic and personal growth, this is it. Honestly, the hardest part is that every school that comes after will have a tough time living up to the standard set here.

Every parent and every child who walks into this school is treated like and becomes family. They are called Beyond Pre K for a reason - the Maestras go above and beyond to give kids an unforgettable experience, exposing them to not only the Spanish language but to cooking, art, music, science, nature, conflict resolution, responsibility, individuality, teamwork and building community. I have seen such amazing growth in both my sons who have and currently are attending school there. They truly understand children and how to connect with them. The only reason not to go here is that they will set the bar so high that all subsequent schools will pale in comparison.
I love this school and the community surrounding it.

My son is on his second year at Beyond Pre-k. We opted to stay here a second year (instead of more convenient and free TK) because of how much we love the maestras and their program. My son loves going to school and it doesn’t take but a moment to see why.
1. The activities they do- diverse, fun, creative. Everything from baking in the kitchen, growing plants starting from seeds/beans, witnesses metamorphosis, blocks, paints, games, playdoh, books, playground, trikes, balls games, dress up, etc.
2. Small class size. So much attention paid to each child. The maestras truly know these kids in such a short time.
3. They have a PE and singing/dance teacher come in weekly whom the kids adore.
4. Flexibility - they work with you and your child’s schedules or particular needs
5. Respect shown to kids and adults and the way they handle conflict amongst the kids. Life skills.
6. Wonderful communication and updates
7. Language acquisition. Even if your child knows zero Spanish, they will! And the teachers are wonderful with ever level of Spanish knowledge.
8. Maestra Vera and Maestra Norma are truly lovely individuals. You can tell they love what they do and the kids and parents feel it too.

Maestras are full of love and give the kids a very rich experience throughout the year. This school is a blessing to the community. This is a fantastic Spanish-immersion program for preschoolers.

THE BEST LITTLE SECRET! We were so blessed to have found out about this gem of a place back in 2015 from friends who had their twins attend. The teachers are so wonderful and caring. We put our son in for a year in 2018 and we were so impressed with how much Spanish he learned. He tested in and got into El Marino as a native Spanish speaker! Our daughter went for 2 years 2023-2025..

We could not be more grateful for this gem of a preschool!! My older daughter had the most magical experience here and my 3.5 year old son is now attending. They both attended other schools in the area before switching to "the school in the park" that they lovingly called it before enrolling. The students' days are filled with gardening, story telling, dramatic play, art etc. Everyday they have a different outside instructor come in to teach music, art, dance, PE etc. Neither of my kids spoke Spanish before this and it was amazing to see how comfortable they felt even Day 1.

We found that the previous private schools talked a lot about community building, but fell short in creating strong relationships with the families and teachers. This little school on the other hand feels like a true family. After school, the maestras are happy to have the parents hang out and talk, often offering everyone snacks and coffee. Older siblings and past students come to see their old teachers and catch up. The kids play together at the park after school. It is so rare these days to have these unhurried, unstructured connections!

My daughter now attends El Marino, but even if you don't plan to send you child to a Spanish school - learning another language this young primes their brain for future learning :)

This is the best spanish immersion preschool. The teachers are engaging, attentive, and strive to create the best experience for each child. My son and daughter both attended this preschool and I cannot say enough good things about it! The teachers truly become like family. Kids are exposed to the spanish language through so many fun activities!
